EducationXR courses can now be published for the web. Learners open them in their browser through the EducationXR Web Viewer at viewer.educationxr.com, with nothing to install. It's the same EdXR 1.5.0 experience that runs on VR headsets, phones, tablets, and desktops, with multiplayer, analytics, and assessments included.
Watch: EducationXR on the Web
The Last Barrier to Access
Immersive training has always had a distribution problem. Headsets have to be bought, managed, and charged. Apps have to be installed, and on a locked-down corporate laptop that can mean an IT ticket. Contractors, partners, new hires on day one, learners on a shared workstation: many of the people who most need training are the hardest to reach with an app.
The web removes that step. If a learner has a browser, they have access.
How It Works
Authors publish for the web. Web is now a publishing target in our creation tools, right next to VR, mobile, and desktop. It's the same course, so there's no separate version to build or maintain.
Learners sign in and train. At viewer.educationxr.com, learners sign in with their EducationXR account or your organization's single sign-on (SSO) and find the same course library they'd see in the app.
Or they open a link. Share a link to a specific course and learners choose how to open it: in their browser, in the EducationXR app if they already have it, or by getting the app. Choosing the browser takes them straight into the course, and anyone who has signed in before skips the sign-in entirely.
The Full Experience, Not a Preview
Everything works in the browser. Automatic multiplayer means a learner in Chrome can join the same session as a colleague in a headset. Analytics and assessment results land in the same admin dashboards as every other device. The Web Viewer supports most major browsers and is optimized for Chrome.
Where the Web Fits
The headset is still the most immersive way to train, and the apps aren't going anywhere. The web adds reach:
- Onboarding at scale: send new hires a link on day one, before any device ships.
- Pre-work and refreshers: learners walk through a procedure on their laptop before hands-on practice, or revisit it months later.
- The extended workforce: contractors, partners, and customers who will never install your app.
- Pilots and stakeholder reviews: a link in an email is the fastest way to show what an immersive course can do.
From Idea to Learner, Faster
Web publishing pairs naturally with the AI Harness. Build a course from a prompt or an existing SOP, publish it for the web, and share a link. The path from an idea to a learner actually training has never been shorter.
Try It
The Web Viewer is live at viewer.educationxr.com. If you're new to EducationXR, request a demo and we'll show you a course running right in your browser.
